1. What are experimental features?

   Experimental features are features we are actively working on!

   Currently, we're focusing on the tracking function in the Cross Craft experience. Our goal is to allow users to overlay each step over their hoop for the ultimate guided crafting experience.

   Because these features are still in development, they may be a bit buggy, so please let us know if you run into any issues or have suggestions.

2. I found a bug or issue with your cross-stitching instructions. Where can I let you know?

   First off, THANK YOU! We're in Early Access, and honestly, we're just a bunch of nerds who wanted to connect new tech with a cozy craft. Your feedback genuinely helps us make Cross Craft better.

3. Will there be new patterns or lessons added?

   Yes! We plan to add more patterns and lessons over time. If you have suggestions, or know of a pattern creator you think we should work with, please reach out! You can find us on Discord or email us at support@coalcar.ca

4. How do I open the menu?

   • Using hand tracking: Open your left hand flat and look at your palm.
   • Using controllers: Press the App Menu button on your left controller.

5. Why only DMC colours?

   We're in early access and want to shape the experience based on the feedback from our community! We're starting with DMC, but game to add any other popular brands!

6. What do I need to start cross-stitching?

   To get started, you'll need a few basic supplies:

   • A cross-stitching needle
   • Fabric (Aida is a popular choice)
   • A hoop (we recommend at least an 6-inch hoop)
   • Floss
     • You can find a shopping list for your chosen pattern directly in Cross Craft
     • If you already have thread, but it doesn't match the thread the pattern lists, you can easily swap the colour in your pattern in Cross Craft!
   • A bright light source

7. How do I use the Shopping List function?

   Tap the Shopping List button in Cross Craft

   1. On your computer or mobile device, go to crosscraft.coalcar.ca
   2. Choose your pattern
   3. Look at the QR code on your device screen... Your shopping list will appear (you can take a screenshot here for reference)
   4. If you already have a colour in your inventory, your shopping list will show a checkmark next to that colour

8. Can I use Cross Craft if I am a beginner?

   Yes! We suggest you start with a Lesson, which has extra guidance. Lessons are indicated by the Lesson icon
